After the passing of her mother and\u003cbr\u003epartner, and after years of being displaced, she was told that if\u003cbr\u003eshe did not move to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), all of\u003cbr\u003eher money would be taken and she would be left with nothing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMinjerribah became the final place she was taken, and\u003cbr\u003eultimately her final resting place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis artwork reflects the cultural significance that Minjerribah\u003cbr\u003eholds for me. It represents my own footsteps on Country,\u003cbr\u003ewalking beside the ancient pipi shell middens left by our\u003cbr\u003eAncestors and the healing waters that continue to hold our\u003cbr\u003estories.
