We were so close to achieving a\u003cbr\u003ehuge step forward for mob, it even previously had bipartisan\u003cbr\u003esupport which was unfortunately not genuine. On that same day\u003cbr\u003ewas the Eric Deeral Indigenous Youth Parliament. The Eric Deeral\u003cbr\u003eIndigenous Youth Parliament was named in honour of Eric\u003cbr\u003eDeeral who was the first Aboriginal in Australia to be elected to\u003cbr\u003ea state parliament which specifically happened in Queensland.\u003cbr\u003eThe Eric Deeral youth Parliament is an opportunity for young\u003cbr\u003emob participating in the Queensland Indigenous Youth\u003cbr\u003eLeadership Program to visit QLD parliament, deliver a speech\u003cbr\u003eand debate a mock bill.\u003cbr\u003eOn the 29th of November 2024 there was around 30 young\u003cbr\u003emob there who witnessed our treaty process come to a\u003cbr\u003ecomplete stop. The heartbreak caused from this putrid action is\u003cbr\u003eunfortunately so much bigger than just that moment.
