This artwork is a cultural piece about the story’s of going back
to country. I spent some time over on Minjerribah, where my
family was taken to the missions. Upon arrival the Island was
flooded with yellow vibrant hibiscus flowers. These flowers are
the symbol for Indigenous generational healing. I spent time at
the sites and missions with the artists on the island and with
elders who talked about our peoples growth and healing in the
past, present and future.
