This piece is about the eyes and shield. It tells the story of how to see and not just look. We often shield ourselves from reality and harsh truths that could make us stronger in the end. We shouldn’t see these experiences as scary but instead a hard lesson. The symbols in the painting represent our wondrous eyes and a shield that really is our ancestors protecting us.
